Course Introduction
Northern Training Partnership’s First Aid for Outdoor Schools Course is designed specifically for outdoor school leaders, outdoor practitioners, and anyone responsible for children in natural environments.
The training programme consists of four hours of supported blended learning which will equip participants with the confidence and competence to safely manage their settings, first aid resources and compliance for situations in woodland, coastal, farm and outdoor learning settings where medical help may be delayed.
This certification is valid for three years and is to be completed in conjunction with a full Paediatric First Aid (Full PFA) certificate to comply with OFSTED and the Early Years Foundation Stage Document.
Certification is accredited by the First Aid Industry Body.
Relevant qualification levels for your setting should comply with OFSTED regulations and the DFE Early Years Foundation Stages

Who is this
course for?
This course is aimed at organisations and individuals who have a duty of care to babies, children and adults within their working environment.
This includes Nursery environments, Childminders and Carers as well as designated Leaders and Staff who manage environments such as Outdoor Schools and facilitate associated activities.
Course Requirements:
- This course requires you to have access to either a PC, laptop on which you can watch e-learning videos as well as download and upload documents.
- Time at work (or during personal time) to complete 4 hours of learning.
- The Outdoors Schools course must be completed within 3 months of completing a Paediatric First Aid (Full PFA) qualification.
- First Aid for Outdoors School certification will be issued on successful verification of a valid Paediatric First Aid (Full PFA) qualification, completion of e-learning modules and assessment of submitted self-directed learning tasks.
