Course Introduction
The terms Fire Warden / Fire Marshal are essentially the same thing and this course will prepare your chosen staff to undertake these duties. Candidates will learn about preventing fires and also about the different types of fire extinguishers and how to use them correctly.
The course includes Fire Warden / Marshal responsibilities, fire safety legislation, human behaviour, chemistry of fires, fire extinguishers, fire hazard identification, evacuation procedures and a practical session with hands on use of fire extinguishers.
We also offer bespoke Fire Warden / Marshal courses on request for specialist areas of work (for example in construction or care homes). Both are half day courses and include the above information, which is contextualised, plus any appropriate and relevant topics to that specific industry.

Who is this
course for?
This course is for employees who have been designated as ‘Fire Wardens/Marshalls’ by their place of work. Fire Wardens play a key role in overseeing the emergency and fire procedures in addition to ensuring the maintenance of the building’s fire precautions by reporting defects observed through regular checks of their work area. Candidates will learn how to manage their resources and understand their duties regarding compliance and emergency procedures.
