Asbestos, “The Hidden Killer”.
This is how the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) have described asbestos because it is hidden away and concealed within buildings or disguised as everyday objects such as walls, floor tiles, toilet cisterns, as well as many other materials.
The Control of Asbestos Regulations places specific legal obligations on anyone who manages or is responsible for non-domestic premises so this is not just employers.
One of these obligations is to ensure that anyone who might disturb asbestos at work is appropriately trained. This course is designed to give participants that fundamental knowledge of working in an environment that is known or assumed to have asbestos contained within it.
