Course Introduction
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations make it a legal obligation for employers to assess the risks associated with moving and lifting loads and to then make appropriate arrangements to mitigate against possible loss or injury.
The Moving and Handling of Objects course is designed to help with this obligation by providing information and practical exercises to take both employer and employee through Manual Handling Risk Assessment and moving or handling techniques. Candidates will also be given a summary of the legislation, muscular-skeletal injuries and the advantages of good posture whilst manually handling objects.
With appropriate application of the skills and knowledge gained from the course, the employer will have taken significant steps to meet their obligation whilst employees will be able to apply the principles to their role and therefore prevent injuries.
