Qualification

The level 2 Food Safety in catering qualification is an introductory level of training designed to give the participant a fundamental understanding of food hygiene principals. This certification is ideal for people working within the hospitality and care industry or involved in the preparation of foods in a working environment and ensures they understand the responsibilities of anyone involved in the preparation, storage, cooking or handling of foods.

Entry Information

This qualification can be completed as an individual unit or as a part of a package or amalgamated qualification. There are no academic pre-requisites for learners wishing to complete this course although a basic level of literacy is required. The qualification is for learners who are 16+.
