This programme of learning is for organisations with higher levels of risk that require their First Aiders to re-qualify and refresh their knowledge and skills related to first aid in the workplace.

The First Aid at Work re-qualification enables previously qualified first aiders to refresh the theoretical and practical aspects of first aid management. This qualification meets the statutory requirements of the First Aid Regulations and enables the participant to act as the first aid response within the workplace.
Re-qualification can be done 3 months prior to expiry and 1 month after expiry. This certification is valid for three years and suitable for medium to high risk working environments and business needs.
Certification is accredited by the First Aid Industry Body.
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 states ‘that those employers, their first aiders and emergency first aiders, together should organise and provide first aid, according to the needs of the organisation. All employees need to be aware of the provision made.
This qualification can be completed as an individual unit or as part of package or amalgamated qualification. There are no academic prerequisites for learners wishing to complete this course although a basic level of literacy is required. The qualification is suitable for learners 16+.
